The premise
Ava is hosting girls’ night and sends her boyfriend off to the bedroom: boys are not allowed. Twenty minutes into the movie she is asleep on the couch. That is when Camilla, Ava’s best friend and also her boyfriend’s stepsister, goes looking for him with fun in mind, and tells him exactly what he wants to hear: “You’re allowed now, stepbro.”
Why this new series is absolutely wild
The setup is a pressure cooker. The girlfriend is asleep in the next room, the house is full of her friends, and the woman coming through the bedroom door is both her best friend and his stepsister. Every one of those relationships raises the stakes, and the whole story plays out under one roof, with the risk of someone waking up at any moment.
Camilla’s line is the hook. It flips the rule of the night on its head and makes clear who is in charge: she is the one breaking the rules, and she knows it. The poster sets the mood: Camilla in a white satin slip up front, the other girls in silk robes behind her and the boyfriend watching from the back of the couch.
