What happens, according to Candy
Quinn arrives for a month under the same roof as her step-brother and the woman he lives with. There is one kiss, in secret, and rather than staying a one-time mistake it turns into a compulsion. He keeps going back to it and seems unable to stop.
Brief as the synopsis is, its arc is plain: one slip, then escalation, with a single question looming over the whole thing, namely when the girlfriend discovers it. The synopsis names Quinn and casts her as the instigator, while it is her step-brother who loses his grip.
Its strengths
A cheating story needs the wronged party close by, and this one delivers: the girlfriend is around for the entire visit, so the danger never drifts far. Calling it an “addiction” also signals escalation rather than one encounter, which suits a five-episode format nicely.
Its weaknesses
The formula is a familiar one. Step-sibling visits rank among Candy’s most frequent setups, and Quinn is given no specific motive or backstory. No twist is hinted at, and how it all ends is left to the episodes. It comes across as a dependable genre piece rather than a standout.
