Revenge is the engine
After being left for another woman, Sienna refuses to let it go. She settles on revenge in the shape of her ex’s father, a silver fox she can hardly resist, and sets out to seduce him. Their affair is soon out in the open and turns into all-out war within the family, and with each escalation more long-hidden secrets surface.
Better than its title
On title alone it sounds like a single joke stretched thin, but the synopsis offers more. Revenge gives Sienna a reason to act, so she drives the story instead of simply reacting to it. The affair also has a target: the ex who left her, whose father becomes her weapon against him. And a family war with secrets spilling out implies real consequences, not merely a premise.
It turns the usual Candy viewpoint around, too. Where most taboo series pair a younger man with an older woman, this one has a female lead and an older man as the partner, a less common pairing in the catalogue.
Where it may fall short
Squeezing a family war into five short episodes is ambitious. The fallout will likely move quickly rather than build, and the secrets may not get much development. Nor does the synopsis mention the woman who replaced Sienna, which suggests the ex’s half of the story could be slight.

Our verdict
Behind a throwaway title, My Ex’s Hot Dad packs a fair amount of story: a jilted woman with a motive, an affair meant to wound and a family that breaks apart because of it. Five episodes leave too little room for everything the synopsis hints at, but for 36 tokens it is a smart choice if stepmom setups have worn thin.
