What the story sets up
Emma’s life looks perfect right up to the night she finds her boyfriend and her best friend together. One discovery is enough to shatter it. Candy’s synopsis lists what comes after: a rebound kept secret, a positive test and a school where lying is the norm. Heartbreak turns into a war, and Emma comes out of it untouchable.
