The story
Jake is out of money, and because his grades are slipping he is close to losing his scholarship. His glamorous professor proposes a different path to a passing mark. From there he is pulled between a girlfriend who looks perfect on paper and a teacher who has grown obsessed with him, and one misstep could bring his whole life down.
By the standards of a Candy five-parter, the synopsis is crowded: three characters, an obvious pressure point and genuine consequences if it all goes wrong.
A premise with actual stakes
Attraction alone powers most short series. My Hot Professor layers leverage on top: the scholarship rides on the grade, Jake needs that grade, and the professor holds all the power. That turns a flirtation into a dilemma and gives the plot a direction.
A second layer comes from the obsession. Beyond making an offer, the professor wants him, and the synopsis casts her as both a temptation and a threat to what he has with his girlfriend. With that girlfriend in the frame, the promise to “blow up his whole life” suggests there will be fallout.
Where it could stumble
The premise rests on the power imbalance between teacher and student, and some viewers will find that more uncomfortable than exciting. The girlfriend gets a single descriptor, “perfect”, so she risks serving the plot rather than being a person. Five episodes also leave little room to pay off so many threads.
