What the story is about
Mona organizes every corner of her life and has already made up her mind about most people. That order starts to crack when circumstances push her into sharing a home with David, her stepbrother, a smug alpha type and the very last man she could ever respect. Day after day the two of them trade barbs and dig in their heels, and a string of poor choices gradually dismantles the tidy way she sees the world.
This is enemies-to-lovers in its classic form, moved onto the stepfamily ground Candy returns to so often. The tension grows out of the way the pair rub against each other, not out of one set-piece situation, and that is precisely why five episodes would not be enough to tell it.
Why fifteen episodes make a difference
A typical Candy AI Shorts series runs five episodes, with two for the setup and three for the payoff. Mona’s Worst Enemy belongs to a group of just four series that stretch to 15, and that alters the way the story plays out. The rivalry has space to grow, things can go badly between Mona and David, and the change can arrive in stages instead of all at once. For viewers who care most about the build-up in this genre, it is one of the rare series on the platform that genuinely delivers one.
The catch is the commitment. Unlocking thirteen episodes is a big ask for a story you are unsure of, which makes the free portion count for more than it usually does.

How it stacks up

When five episodes feel too hurried, Mona’s Worst Enemy is the one to pick. Friction drives the premise, and fifteen episodes let that friction slowly become something different. Still, it only pays off if you plan to finish: start with the two free episodes, and spend tokens on the rest only once Mona and David have you hooked.
