The premise
On a stay at his brother’s place, Nick gets to know Molly, the brother’s girlfriend, who clearly feels overlooked. They connect immediately, and hiding what they feel gets more difficult by the day. One reckless moment then threatens to tear the household apart. Candy’s official synopsis goes no further than that.
Title and premise do not quite match
Going by the name, Molly should be a schemer, yet the synopsis strangely never paints her that way. What it describes is shared chemistry and a single impulsive mistake, not someone pulling strings, so anyone expecting a calculating seductress is probably seeing more in the name than Candy’s own text justifies. The manipulation could still turn up in the episodes; we just cannot guarantee it.
Where the premise does deliver is emotionally. A partner who is being ignored, a brother as the third corner of the triangle and a home where everyone must keep up appearances make for a quieter, slower-building tension than a lot of nearby titles offer.
Pros and cons
- For: with a brother involved, the betrayal cuts close, and being neglected gives Molly a reason beyond plain attraction.
