What the story is
A married couple has one day left on their island trip when a magnetic stranger crashes into their relationship with no intention of following the normal rules. It starts with a towel hitting the floor and a dare, and soon the three of them are locked into a game nobody can stop, where any look might be a trap.
Why the setup works
Setting it on the final day is clever. The story has a deadline from its first moment, and a trip that is nearly over hands everyone an excuse for risks they would never take back home. The stranger is cast as the troublemaker, leaving the married pair on the back foot and giving the series an easy-to-follow shape: a newcomer putting a relationship to the test.
A swap is what the title offers; a game full of traps is what the synopsis offers. Few couple-plus-one setups bother with that much intrigue, though the specifics remain fuzzy.
Where it gets murky
The tags Candy uses are Sister, Taboo and Wife. Wife matches the synopsis well enough, but Sister implies some family tie the official description never brings up. Treat it as a clue rather than a certainty until the free episodes have shown you more. We also learn little about the stranger, so much depends on how well the three characters are written.

Few series get a frame as good as Trapped Desires: Island Swap, with its deadline, its dare and a stranger rewriting the rules. Its tags and synopsis do not fully line up, and we have not rated it yet, which makes the free episodes more important than they usually are. Should they grab you, 36 tokens is not much to pay for the rest of the game.
