The premise
Candy’s synopsis reads like the trailer of an action film. Everyone expects Eli to be the first to die. Delilah Kane is the hunter sent to finish him off. But by the time the game orders her to kill him, Eli has already thrown away his own chance to escape, and he did it to save her.
Why this new series is absolutely wild
Most Candy series play out in a house, an office or a hotel room. She Was Sent to Kill Me drops its two leads into a deadly game with rules, orders and a body count, which gives every scene a stake that ordinary taboo setups never have: getting it wrong here does not mean getting caught, it means not getting out alive.
The heart of it is a classic enemies-to-lovers reversal. Delilah is the predator, Eli is the prey, and the twist is that the prey sacrifices himself for the hunter. The synopsis stops exactly at the moment she has to choose between her orders and the man who saved her, which is the strongest hook a five-episode story can ask for.
The poster sets the tone: Delilah, with teal hair and a pistol in her hand, sits over Eli among the stone ruins, both of them bruised and bandaged. It promises danger and chemistry in the same frame.
