What the synopsis says
Roxy puts a great deal of effort into deflecting her stepbrother’s stares, and she insists she can’t take any more. Right away the synopsis questions that claim: can’t she? When she quits resisting and goes with her real feelings, things between the step-siblings move past a boundary and, as Candy puts it, enter a new era.
The title notwithstanding, nothing in the synopsis mentions a weekend trip, so we won’t speculate about the setting. The arc, on the other hand, is spelled out: denial, then surrender.
A frank assessment
There is not much premise here. Roxy’s reluctance is the sole obstacle, no third character appears, and the description already gives away the turning point. Next to step-sibling series that add a rival, a hidden secret or someone to deceive, it has very little story to offer.
Its strength is focus. We see things from Roxy’s side, and what the series actually tracks is her change of heart. For anyone who enjoys a story whose whole purpose is a woman moving from annoyance to interest, that simplicity could work. If you need a reason to keep going beyond the obvious, it probably won’t.
