A honeymoon gone quiet
Things go wrong for Piper almost at once. Her husband treats their stay at a lavish villa as a work trip, and the one person who appears to see her at all is the young man who hauled in her luggage. Neglected and bored, she resolves to do something about it.
That flips the standard Candy formula nicely. Rather than a man drawn to a woman who is off limits, it centers on a wife who makes the decision herself, and the obstacle is a husband who is never around.
What it has going for it
Many five-parters never bother to give their lead a motive; Piper has one. She is not written as merely irresistible or insatiable but as someone ignored on a trip that was meant to be hers. The affair gets a reason, and the husband gets a part to play even though he mostly stays offstage. A resort villa, glamorous and self-contained, also fits a short run well.
What could hold it back
Her decision is where the synopsis ends. Whether the husband catches on, whether anything follows from it and how far things go past that first spark all remain unknown. A guest falling for the staff is also familiar ground, and it only works if the young man is more than a name tag, something the description cannot promise.
