What the story is
You could summarize the setup on a napkin. A man has the house to himself, apart from his young stepmom, who knows perfectly well how she affects him. She catches exactly what he is after and, rather than acting as if she missed it, converts all that staring into an invitation for two.
Curiously, the synopsis never gets around to the date the title mentions. Nothing is planned, nobody goes out, and the only pretext is the empty house, which means the name hints at more setup than the description actually provides.
A frank take
Among Candy’s stepmom titles, few premises are this slight. You will find no rival, no secret and no absent partner threatening an early return; just two people and one invitation. That alone does not make it bad. Some viewers are looking for precisely this, a series that skips the soap opera and gets on with it. Measure a short by how much story it packs into five episodes, though, and there is very little here to grip.
Its one real asset is how direct it is. From the opening the stepmom is the one who acts, so attention stays on her instead of on some convoluted excuse for leaving the pair alone.
