The story, as Candy tells it
At first the boyfriend here is fully committed. That changes when his girlfriend’s identical twin arrives for a visit, because she cares nothing for his loyalty. A contest of willpower becomes a double deception in which he is seeing both sisters behind their backs, and the synopsis ends with one more wrinkle: their mother, every bit as alluring, is heading home.
More moving parts than most
To be fair to it, few synopses on Candy cover this much ground. Plenty of five-parters get by on a single forbidden pairing; My Girlfriend’s Twin escalates step by step instead, moving from temptation to a pair of secret affairs and then to a third woman whose arrival ups the stakes. Making the sister an identical twin is a real hook, too, since it brings a level of confusion and secrecy that an ordinary sister-in-law plot lacks.
Where it could stumble is space. One boyfriend keeping secrets from three women is plenty to fit into five short episodes, especially when the two free ones exist to lay the groundwork. From the synopsis, the mother reads as the final twist, not a storyline of her own, so she probably gets less of the spotlight than the twins.
