The premise

The premise stops there, and its clarity is welcome. What drives it is not a mystery or a plot but a ticking clock. Each hour nearer the wedding makes things messier, and the story sits with the man pulled between loyalty to his friend and a bride who is chasing him in plain sight.
Strengths and thin spots
Its best move is flipping the usual pre-wedding story. On Candy, bachelor weekends normally put temptation in front of the groom; this time the bride does the pursuing, and nobody in the synopsis is more active than she is. The two-night deadline also lends five episodes a natural arc.
What it lacks is any complication past the obvious one. No rival, no secret, no sign of where the groom fits, so everything rides on the chemistry of one forbidden pairing. For a short watch that is fine; just do not expect twists.

My Best Friend’s Bride delivers what the title promises and not much beyond it. Having the bride do the chasing lends it a somewhat different energy than the many stepmom stories in the catalogue, and the wedding countdown makes a neat frame.
