The pitch
The world as we knew it is gone, and apparently only one man remains. While searching the wreckage, he finds a secret settlement where every resident is a woman. Their ruler is a queen, alluring and dangerous in equal measure, and his arrival does not strike her as a miracle. To her he is a trophy, and she plans to share him out among her restless subjects.
Not the usual Candy setting
The bulk of the catalogue plays out in homes, offices and hotels. An enclave after the apocalypse is a genuine departure, built on a pulp science-fiction idea that is decades old: the sole survivor who turns into the most precious resource in a world that carried on without men. It is fantasy in both meanings of the term, and it makes no attempt to hide that.
What makes it interesting is the queen. Because she treats the newcomer as property to be divided up, the story gets a figure of power and a touch of threat instead of simply a crowd of admirers. The synopsis stays silent on whether she has anything more to do than that.
